To be performed after the Temple Opening
The magician must have prepared the following items prior to the commencement of the ritual:
- A few ounces of pure beeswax
- A lancet with which to draw blood
- Hair, nails and other physical talismans from the magician
- A crucible in which to melt the wax
- An eggshell which has been blown
- Cords, pins, and seals for warding
- A small amount of Blue Vervain
- A box to enclose all
After the Opening, the magician sets the Beeswax to melt in the Crucible. This wax is the Body of the charm. Into the melted wax goes fingernail clippings and hair from the magician, while he repeats:
”This now at last is bone of my bones.”
The magician then lances himself and adds several drops of blood to the wax, repeating:
“And flesh of my flesh.”
The wax is then poured into the eggshell as a mold, or shaped with the magician’s own hands into an egg or heart. While it is cooling, the magician holds it against his heart, and places his heart inside it. Once the Heart is completely cooled, it must be warded heavily, with cords and pins, and placed in the Box on a bed of Blue Vervain. The box must then be sealed and hidden, brought forth only in
direst need for the magician’s healing.
Note: This ritual may also be performed with the brain, lungs and stomach.
